Hello all. I recently bought the Recon side mirror LED lenses to replace the reflector lenses. I have seen videos on YouTube about the wiring but it is either to use them as a turn signal or to wire them to come on when the headlights are on. I want to run them as daytime running lights, not just have them operate at night with my headlights. My question is.... are there any wires that are already in the door that I could tap into that has a constant power supply with ignition on?

Do you have power windows? There should be an ignition live circuit in each front door.
P.S. Check legality, this would be illegal in Europe where side indicators (used to be in front wing) are required.

Thank you for the reply. As soon as I have a free moment, will check the window wires. As far as legality, from what I have seen, the US has a law dated back to 1969 just requiring amber lights on the front sides and red lights on the back sides. The F150 has an amber light in the side of the headlight unit and the tail lights wrap around the side of the bed. Besides, I am only looking to replace an ugly amber reflector (no lights) with white lights that will be on every time the vehicle is in operation. Thank you again for the information.

That's OK. Everywhere but North America uses white front and red rear running lights with amber direction indicators. If there weren't any lights around (just behind) the front wheel arches originally you're OK legally.
