Been using the12volt for years as a reference tool, but just finally joined. I'm confused about my current setup, and hope you all can point me in the right direction. To make a long story short, I bought a low mile 2006 Silverado Crew Cab LT with the Bose system last year. Previous owner had installed a Kenwood single DIN head unit, and apparently had an aftermarket amp and sub(s) installed. Everything but the head unit was removed when I purchased the truck.

Here's what I know at the moment:
*Door speakers are working
*Cables on back of Bose amp are connected
*Bose sub is not working
*On Star/door chimes/Rear Entertainment controls not working

Could the reason for these things not working be as simple as the wiring harness that was used?

Update:
I removed the Kenwood and installed a Pioneer AVH-X3700 double DIN head unit with a PAC RP5-GM11 interface. When I plug the harness into interface's "Factory Amplified System", the sound is extremely low an distorted. When plugged into "Non-Amplified System", the sound is loud and clear. However, the sub doesn't sound like it's playing. Any idea why this might be happening? PAC tech service didn't tell me much other than the factory amp may be bypassed. Anyone have any input or suggestions on how to check?
