96' Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L Limited edition 6cylinders

Need to find

a) rpm (tacho) signal wire
b) ignition +12V wire

from coil/distributor wires

Tach Gray/White @ Coil

Ignition Dark Blue/Gray Ignition Switch Harness

Ignition 2 RED / Black Ignition Switch Harness (for AC)

I found this on the net.

We have a 3 wire-tail connected to the distributor

according to this diagram:
a)5 volt supply
b)camshaft position sensor signal
c)ground signal

from which one could i take the rpm signal? Could i identify it with a multimeter?

You need a signal wire, the listing says Dark Blue/ Gray and your diagram says Gray and Black which is the signal. Either signal will work from your diagram just make sure it's protected from the elements once connected.
