I am trying to install a 556UW on a 2002 VW Jetta . I have read some people cut the ring and hard wire it into existing wires on the ignition. Is this a common practice and if so can any one tell me do I cut both wires or just one ? and does it matter what wire goes to the car ? I can't seem to find any thing suggesting this on the net . thanks
