i think the new 2003 trucks use a datalink system. i tried to put alarm in one the other day and directed electronics did not have a wiring diagram on the truck.

Hey JMIELITZ,

Welcome to the wonderful world of databus!  The 2003's exist in two models,  the base model and an up-level.  The base model is like the previous years. . .no problemo.  However the uplevel has TWO control modules, one in each door and they communicate with the BCM using Class2 data.  Not only do you have to go into each door and do a five wire reversal,  but the door trigger wires are there too!  That's a half dozen wires from each door!  I'm sure we'll be seeing a databus module like we use in the Envoy.  posted_image

aamp has a new module for the 03 chevy class II databus . it does locks alarm arm/disarm and the coolest feature window up/down and vent all off the violet databus wire. i am thinking time and money savings and extra money on all alarms for the extra features for the customer.....as for the door trigger it is on the bcm under the steering wheel at the far right plug and is gray / black ( + )
