Can someone tell me what size bulbs to use to replace the stock guage bulbs in an '01 Accord? Thanks!!

Go to your local honda dealer and ask them. They should be able to tell you within minutes from their manuals.

I went today, and after looking at the diagrams and such, all the guy could tell me was that they are 14 volt 3.4 watt bulbs. Any other ideas?

What ?? I'll look into this for you in the morning. The local Honda dealership here is closed for the day, but I'll get back to you when I find out what I can. ( No promises though ) BTW: Which bulbs for what light is burned out ?? ------------- Jeff

None are burnt. I'd like to put some hyper white bulbs in the stock ones' places. I believe there's four main bulbs and about 15 little ones. I'm only looking for the four big ones. Thanks again! Hope you can find that info

This is what I found so far... will get more information later: 4 cylinder ( larger bulbs ) Honda part number 37102-FA5-003 . The generic part number I will try to get you at a later time, the guys computer was getting serviced at the time. Hope this helps and I'll post what I can later. ------------- Jeff

That's all the information that he could give me other than the fact that it's probably a Honda only part. The larger ones he said has a casing as well as the bulb and the smaller ones are a bulb only. Sorry I can't be of more help but you. ------------- Jeff

Innnnteresting. If I put a 5 watt bulb that hypothetically fits in the "harness" of the old 3.4 watt bulb, will this kill anything or just be brighter? Will it not be brighter? Basically, is the 3.4 watt rating the output of the bulb or the output of the system TO the bulb? Thanks for checking for me, Jeff. I really appreciate it. If I find out any useful information in my quest for brightness, I'll be sure to post it back here for the benefit of others! I know it can be done as I've heard about it before. -Erik

ok. I'm posting this so others who search the forum can find this info: 6th Generation Accord: The "big" bulbs behind the dash are 194 bulbs. You can find different colors at Crutchfield. For the small bulbs - at the Rag Shop (craft store), I found a type of paint called ultra gloss enamel. Paint it over select smaller bulbs behind the dash and the AC controls and it will shine through that color. The paint is designed to be baked on (which, of course, I didn't do), so the high temp. of the bulb doesn't make it bubble or anything. Right now, my dash glows a deep sexy red to match my exterior. Fantastic.
