Can you or anyone tell me how I can get into the bottom portion of my stock stereo? It has an in-dash cd player, and a MD/Tape player is an option... does anyone know if I could hook up to that as an auxiliary input? Can anyone help me get into this stereo??

It's a 2004 Mazda Tribute with a stock in-dash cd player.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Do you have a picture of the radio?  I have a 2005 Tribute and if it is the same one I could help you.

My '04 Tribute's stereo looks likes so;

Without the cassette adapter on the bottom (it's just a blank piece of plastic)

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

That is the same stereo I have.  You have to have the stereo out and then you can press plastic plate out from the inside.

Is it very easy to get the stereo out?
Do I need a special tool?
Once I have that out... do you know if I could connect to an aux in (or the md in)??
Thanks for all your help!

You need 2 sets (4 tools) of stereo removal tools to remove it.  They can be bought at most stores that sell radio install kits and wiring harnesses.  The Wal-Mart by me carries them.  I am not sure how to connect to the aux or md in.
