I have read all the existing posts on this topic and they have been very helpful. But I am currently in a bit of a bind and I would be very grateful to anyone who could help me out. I live in an area where there is no installer so I had the brilliant idea to buy a viper 130 remote start unit and put it on my fiancee's 2000 Olds Alero for a Christmas present and now there are a few things which just don't make sense to me.

As I said it is a 2000 Alero without a factory alarm, and I am planning to hook up the doorlocks and the trunk release. The unit is a viper 130 and I have a PLXR module to bypass the passlock II. I have the two relays and the resistor for the doorlocks as well as the other resistor for the trunk release.

I am in the process of hooking up the main 9 pin terminal.
I have the following questions.

1) There is a WHITE/ red wire labelled activation input (+), but it doesn't tell me what to hook it to.

2) I found the parking light wire in the column and hooked it the appropriate wire but is it negative or positive? Do I need a relay here or not?

3) I also found the trunk release wire in the kick panel and have hooked as labelled in the installation guide to a relay, but the guide shows a constant fused 12V into the relay as well as just a positive 12V on another terminal of the relay. I am assuming the constant 12V is the power to the relay but what is the other one? And where is a good place to grab 12V down in the kick panel?

Also this unit comes with 4 pin satellite harness and it only says Blue wire: Status output
           Orange Wire: Accessory Trigger
           Purple Wire: Starter Trigger
           Pink Wire: Ignition Trigger

What do I do with these wires? Do I hook them in where I hook up the heavy gauge relay satellite wires of the same color?

Lastly I have I am very concerned about the PLXR module because I have heard that if I hook it up wrong I can fry the BCM, and the wiring diagram that came with it is very vague. It has 10 wires coming off of it

Brown - It says groundout from remote car starter ( what do I hook up to this)

Green- Key sense out (I don't think I have to hook this up?)

Blue - Data ( it says to hook it up to the yellow wire coming from the ignition)

Violet/White - It says only for passlock 1

Violet - It says starter wire in, only for passlock 1

Pink/White - N/C

Pink - Ignition ( is this the swiched ignition wire)

Orange - N/C

Red - 12V battery ( same place I take power for the Viper module?)

Black - Ground

I know this is a lot of questions but I would be very grateful for any help.

Thanks
