Hello,

I have a 2002 Tacoma which includes the VIP RS3200 remote keyless/Alarm installed on it. The key remote has 3 buttons on the face: Lock, Unlock, and Aux.

My question is: If I add a remote car starter to this vehicle, would I be able to utilize the "Aux" button as the trigger for the remote starter? In otherwords, is there an output wire on the RS3200 which coincides with the "Aux" button on the remote so that I could wire that output to an input on the remote starter? If so, does anyone know what wire I am looking for and what the polarity is? I am also assuming that since this was originally designed for a trunk release, that this will be a pulsed output.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Why not get a remote starter and alarm unit all together? It's a lot easier to put in a new unit than hurting yourself with the thinking process of combining the two unit to work. It's not a difficult vehicle to do an install on. Lots of room to work with. You will be done with the installation before anyone here can figure how to combine wire together for you. Trust me, it's not worth the aggravation just to save a few bucks.

Thanks to The Pencil...

I just purchased the factory alarm unit for this truck. I was hoping to integrate it with the remote starter.
