You may need to isolate the starter wire from the ignition switch when doing a remote starter to prevent it from feeding back and engaging the starter when the key is turned on. See the TIP diagram.

KEY SENSE

TACH SIGNAL

SEE NOTES

Top of engine

Remove plastic engine cover to expose 4 coils. Each coil has a 4-wire plug with 3 of the wire colors common to all 4 coils. Use the odd color at any of the coils for a 1-cylinder reference signal.

FUEL INJECTOR

Opposite from BLACK/ red

At any injector on engine

LOCK

BROWN / yellow

On 14-pin plug in DKP

UNLOCK

GREEN/ black & Blue/red

On 14-pin plug in DKP

Equipped with Toyota's Child Safety Door-lock system. Both wires must be connected for doors to unlock properly. See the door-lock diagram for details.

DOORPIN

RED / white or Blue / YELLOW

At Junction block in driver's side dash

TRUNK PIN

RED / blue

At light in rear compartment

FACTORY ARM

BLACK/ red

In harness from driver's door
