Slow down there slick.....what are you trying to do? Install an aftermarket sub and amp, using the factory head?

Look for a Blue wire most of the remote wires on the market are Blue. Also on the amp. you can run the remote to any fuse in the fuse box that switches on a 12 volt accessory when you turn the key anyhow.

There are two different models of Silverado for 2007 there is the classic body style with the same layout as most people are used to and then there is the new body style for 2007. If it is the old body style the easiest place to get an ACC wire is at the steering column, if you pull the two bottom 7mm out and pull off the bottom knee bolster you will see a small bundle of wires going from the ignition t the fuse box in there is a brown wire about 16 gauge that is an ACC fuse your remote and your good to go. If it is the new body style then good luck finding any true ACC but Iv'e found that there is generally a pink wire at the brake pedal that is ACC just fuse it and make sure it is routed away from the pedal hope this helps.

This is my first install. I'm doing the same thing. Are you saying to connect the remote wire directly to the brown wire and run a fuse in the remote wire? If so, what size fuse should I use? Thanks for your help.
