hey guys new to the site but heres my problem i just picked up the pioneer avh-6500dvd in dash dvd player from a friend cuz ny head unit went bad but im trying to play my ipod through it by using the aux. im not worried bout controlling ipod through the head unit just want to play the music i just cant seem to figure it out so if ya can help that would be awsome thanks.

This is not possible with Pioneer Units... I have a AVH-P5900DVD and I tried it all kinds of ways (Don't Work) What you need to get for the IPOD to work is a Pioneer IPOD ADAPTER or The Pioneer IPOD Cable.

According to the specs on that particular unit, there is one analog audio input. It may have to be enabled via the menu, but it should be possible.
