Hello Everyone,

This is my first post in the forum.
I Have been trying to get an answer about the DVD Video System in Grand Caravan's. From what I can gather from reading and the dodge parts dept. Dodge made some economy Grand Caravan's with no wireless head set capabilities.

I have been searching for more information on the matter. I was wondering what part of the equipment would i have to replace to get the wireless capabilities? Head Unit or LCD

Regards,

Jody

Most OEM dvd decks and monitors use RGB, (Red Green and Blue) instead of composite video (The Yellow RCA jack on a VCR or DVD player.  If it is even possible to use an aftermarket monitor with your DVD, it will be a challenge.

So best thing to do is find a grand caravan that's written off and switch it out?

I am having a hard time with this. I have NEVER seen an OEM unit without IRT's from the factory.  I've worked on a few of these vans and they all had wireless. It may be, but i just can't believe they would do that. Does it have 3.5mm jacks for wired headphones? Have you tried a set of wireless headphones in the van?

I have tried the 2 different types of headset and they don't work.
i when to order the headset when i got the van and the parts guy checked and said it don't have the wireless capabilities.

Jody
