what is this av cable called?

I have a Sylvania 2 screen portable DVD player in the car. It uses the cable on the left in this pic to send the sound/video from the primary screen to the secondary screen. It came with a short one and I need one at least 6 feet long to keep the kids from tripping over it. I haven't had any luck finding it. In the pic I compared it to the standard 4 pole that our last DVD player. You can see the area from the main part of the jack to the first pole is longer. If I try the shorter jack I get sound but no video. Does anybody know what this longer jack is called, and where I can buy a 6 footer?

Id call it a pain in the butt non-standard 2.5mm (or 3.5mm?) video connector (of the old mono/stereo headphone/earpiece style {were they Philips?}).

You can't extend the standard sizes looking end can you?
Otherwise there may be adapters - not that I like adapter-cable-adapter etc especially in vehicular situations - I don't even like extension cables except temporarily.

The Video, L & R audio share a common ground. The longer one, has a larger ground area at the bottom of the plug. Each section(s) above the bottom, carries the other signal(s).

You should be able to buy an extender, with a female end, and male end. They're easy to find in 3.5mm, but 2.5mm? Harder. Try radio shack, see if they have the smaller one.

Else, you would have to splice in a section of your own 4-conductor wire, and you risk interference/noise doing that, but, that's what I would do if I could not find an extension or adapter.

See if radio shack has a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter, then you can use the 3.5mm extensions that are more common.
