1986 Honda Civic fuel injected hatchback with simple ECU. Adding a Garmin Nuvi 2798LMT navigation unit with backup camera. Having read multiple rewiews of this particular unit, it appears that installing a relay alleviates some issue that the camera experiences in obtaining its power from the backup lights. As I also travel with an overhead DVD player which, when in use blocks my rear view, I would like to be able to use the camera as a rear view mirror replacement at my discretion. I would appreciate any input from the forum in regards to my planned install as indicated by the drawing below. Thanks in advance for all knowledgeable responses!
