o k i made a stupid mistake, i was trying to change the password to one that voice recognition would understand easier so that i didnt have to type in the password every time i started my vehicle. i originally wanted to get rid of password all together so i read the manual again after changing the password 50 times to get on that worked with voice better and when i finally found out how to get rid of the password all together (changing the language on the unit clears password) but when i went to start the nav system so i could change the language i had forgotten which was the last password i had changed my system to. so anyone that can help i would greatly apreciate it, what would be the best solution if anyone knows how is to reset system completely so that it wipes out everything back to factory specs that way i can start from scratch

Thanks in advance

Bil

call the manufacturer for instructions on how to reset the NAV password. You may have to show proof of ownership to them or bring it back to the shop where you got it from and they will do it for you.

There is a reset button on the face of the unit.  You will have use the tip of a pen to reset system.  I'm not sure if this will work or not but give it a try.

I too, would like instructions and/or tips installing pioneer nav and screens.  More specifically, info on how you hooked up the safety switch - or were able to bypass it.  Also, anything you learned that would make future installs of your equipment easier would be much appreciated.  brandonbaird@yahoo.com
