I wired my dvd audio to my HU using a Soundgate auxiliary input device.  The dvd player (Blaupunkt) has a lower signal output compared to other sources, cd player, radio etc.  In other words I have to turn up the HU volume higher when the dvd sound is on to have the same volume as another source.  Well having to turn it up higher induces more static/noise etc.  Would a line driver help in this situation?  Would a line driver clean up some of the noise, stay the same or add more?  If you recommend trying one what kind?  thanks

A line driver will solve your low volume problem but the noise will still remain. PAC makes a nice line driver. For the noise, try a good noise filter.

Look here: PAC

Hope this helps.
