Installed a 17" Pyle flipdown tv the other day. Everything worked fine, until we drove down the rode and hit a railroad track. The screen turned into small green blocks, then when you tapped the back of the monitor, the picture came back, hit another bump, same thing, tapped the monitor, the picture is back again. So I hooked it up in my house using a power inverter, and connected to my PS2, everything worked fine. Put it back in the vehicle, same thing happens. Bad TV, or Bad install? The vehicle is a 1998 Expedition, the TV hooked up to a PS2. Somebody please help.

It sounds like a Wiring problem. Maybe in the vehicle itself. The stock wiring might be pinched, loose, or grounding out. If it worked in the house ok, why not the car?   Try using a different ground location. Make sure everything is tight, and soldered, and taped tightly...

Good luck

I dont think it would be any of the wiring of the power and ground. You still keep power but you lose signal. I think it might be connections inside of the t.v. itself because no other thing would effect the screen itself. Other than rca's not connected. But if I where you I would still go and chech all connections like boom said.
