I have a customer with an 03 denali who would like to use his factory nav as the dvd player. Is this possible? I have not seen or heard of this being done. I know ther are companies out there that do interfacing but I haven't found one for domestics. Thanks

To put it simply NO. The DVD unit is only designed to read Nav discs from GM.

Rephrase your question, "Can the factory nav screen be used for dvd video?" Yes. Can the factory nav play dvd's, NO. If you search through this forum you will find the info that you are after, look for things like this.

Actually, the customer wants to use the nav as the dvd source and run the video to an overhead monitor.
