Hi I just bought a 04 Chevy Suburban with the factory bose 6disk and xm radio, the truck doesnt have the DVD player and i want to install one.

so here is the question-how can i wire the dvd so i can use the factory CD/AUX button on the radio to switch between the aftermarket DVD and the factory stereo system and have the dvd sound thru the factory bose system.

any help would be great!

Thanks

If there is not a set of aux inputs on the back of the head unit then you could go with an FM modulator.

periphel makes an aux adapter that gives you the capablity of using the aux button instead of using an fm mod.  You get a better, cleaner signal.

He is talking about the dome light built into the flip down. When the door is open the light is off and when the door is closed the light is on. It is because the car's light use a + turn on and not a - like what the dvd player needs.
