I recently had a rear view camera installed on new F150. The reverse camera works great during the day, but at night the license plate light blows out the night vision and and all I see is the light. I am hoping there would be an easy way to turn off the license plate light when ever the vehicle is placed in reverse. Any help would be appreciated

cut wire to lic plate light and wire as follows:
Bosch relay
86 reverse wire
85 ground
87 open
87a lic plate power side
30 lic plate light side

Now whenever you go into reverse the relay interrupts the power to the plate light
When you are nnot in reverse it works like normal
