Here is an interesting and VERY disturbing thought. I had a customer who is a Highway Patrolman tell me that they were instructed to pull over ALL cars with visibly raised screens at night. This is regardless if you are on DVD, CD, FM or nav. The idea being is they can SAY you were watching a movie whether you were or not. This gives them the legal right to pull you over and check your license, registration, insurance or your BREATH. So don't have that glass of wine with dinner and drive home with that screen up in Caly. Your thoughts on this please.....

I hate the police..............damn them.........

Here is a short story for you: I live here in Miami and i was picking up my girlfriend from her job and was parked in front of her store. Natually i was bored and taking advantage of the tv' s in the car and i was watching the cosby show..........i am parked mind you : and i see the cops roll by i happen to look over soon as i look over they make this huge sceen ; turn on the lights , sirens the whoel deal. They pull up behind like jsut commited a murder 2 cops jump out of the car one on each window. i roll down all 4 windows so they can see in the car. they walk up to me asking for drivers license and registration. i reluctatly gave it to them asking why all th fuss. they say cause i have tv's in the car. i stated that i was parked and while parked i can watch all teh tv i want. they said that i surly must watch tv driving around and that it was illegal . i restated that i was not driving and what i was doing was perfectly legal. the girl cop then instructed me that my tints were too dark. they eventually left me alone stating that i better becarful drving around that i can get a ticket for the screens.

i am a well dressed business man . i were a shirt and tie to work everyday. i think that the police officers are looking for "kidz" that fit the profile to pull over and harass to see if there is anything in the car or whatnot. i dont think it is fair perse however i do understand the reason that it happens.

just my 2 cents

it is unlawful to have a tv in the drivers view while driving. put a hidden toggle switch in so the cops wont be able to turn the tv on unless you set the parking brake. hit the parking brake and the toggle at the same time to turn the dvd player on.

This doesn;t bother me too much. Alot of newer cars have factory screens. I never watch movies. I don't drink and drive. The car I use for drug smuggling has a roof mount.
