Just kicking ideas around for my 00 Civic Si, and since the D1 dosen't have the ablility to plad DVD, are there any other similar double din units out there? Or Would I be best just going with an N1 or 2? (I'm familliar with both the N1 and N2)

2 questions....

1) what is cirrius? I think you mean Sirius.

2)Does it play dvd in dash? I'm not looking to add any external video equipment right now. I pretty much just want an all in 1 unit.

The D1 will display video from any NTSC video source if connected through the AUX inputs.  You can also use a Pioneer DVD changer and the D1 will control its features.  If you use a source other than a Pioneer DVD changer you will have to control it through it's remote or controller.

looks like the Eclipse AVN 5435 is about $1500, and the D1 is $1000. Can the Eclipse AVN 5435 be had for less than $1500?
