is there a gps tracking unit that is cheap and does not have a montly fee? im looking for one that all i do is put it in my truck and if it is stolen to find out where it is. are there any tracking units like that?

GPS tracking without a fee is unlikely. There are devices like Lojack that are a one time only fee but you can't find out where the car is at. Only the police can track the vehicle once the vehicle has been reported stolen.

Talk to Compustar....their new unit should be out soon. It's not a monthly charge, but you purchase "hits" for internet access. Ask Jeff at Velocity if he has info. or call Compustar direct.
