I have recently installed a kenwood kvt 717 in my 2003 jeep grand cherrokee and there is no audio when i play a CD/DVD, however there is sound when i use the tuner to play the radio. I sent the monitor back once and they told me there was nothing wrong with it. When playing a CD/DVD it will play base through my subs but no sound. Any suggestions?

do you have a factory amp? i think you powered the amp with the power antenna wire(blue) from the radio and not the remote wire(blue/white). the factory amp is only turning on when you have the tuner cause thats the only time the remote antennas go up. you need to have it powered up all the time.
