Trying to get this mirror to auto dim. Have pin 13 connected to IGN source, pin 8 connected to GND, pins 6&7 to a temperature probe. The temp & compass function correctly. The auto dim does not. Do I need to wire any other pins to get this to work correctly? I have read elsewhere that pin 5 is from auto day/night sensor in LH outside rearview mirror and pin 16 is the return for this sensor. Do these need to be connected for the auto dim to function?

found that connecting a 10 ohm resistor between pins 5 & 16 will allow the mirror to dim properly.
