Trieing to install a clarion MAX unit into a RAM, cannot locate VSS, purchased a magnetic speed sence kit, but it has 2 wires and its for a cruise control unit, and i dont have a CC unit, so im stuck.
anybody know how to install te part i have, or know where a speed sence wire is on this thing?
Can i use the wire for the anti lock brakes?

Use the VSS Canbus generator from Fortin.

okay, cool, can you gimme a part number, or a phone number, ive never heard of them?, or the name of a distribtor that carries it?
and how do you connect that up?
why cant clarion just triangulate the speed like garmin, and tom tom, and all the other hand held or portable devices, why must it need VSS.. wtf

CANBUS VSS Module
Another kit to use would be the PAC module ( C2R-CHY and this part I've used for a 2006 Jeep Commander and works pretty slick. The module itself is about $ 115 for the PAC part. ------------- Jeff
