Hey everyone,

Got a interesting one in the bay now. 07 Camry with 3.5 v6. This is a smart key car.

Car came in with the owners wanting the previously installed (by another, unknown facility) remote start removed. It was a coolstart rs-4g2 and it also had a fortin transponder bypass.

I DROVE the car into the bay, and first unplugged the two main plugs from the RS-4G2. I attempted to start the car at this point and the vehicle did not start. I plugged the two main plugs back in to the unit and it still did not start.

I proceeded to remove the hack job of a install, which took all but a few minutes since no connectors or solder were used. Tape held most of the connections, some even lacked that. No factory wires were cut in the install, just tapped. I made sure no wires had breaks and taped everything up neatly.

I attempt to start the car and no go. Pressing the button I get a bunch of relay clicks , the dash lights flash quick and it goes off. Sometimes I get the radiator fans to come on? They stay on untill I disconnect the battery.

Sometimes it will start, but then i am unable to shut OFF the car! If it does run, and i press the start button it shuts off the accessories like the radio and stuff, but the motor continues to run.

Anyone else run into something like this? Ive tried remote batteries and a new ignition push button. All fuses good, wiring looks intact.

Is there something else that had to be changed during the install of the old remote start that I am overlooking returning it to stock?

Thanks in advance!

Je
