i have this old hifonics zeus amplifier and i am having a problem with it first when i plug it into my kicker x3i crossover with both rcas i get hissing with car off and whining with car on and i i only hook up one rca into a y jackinto the amp the hissing gets very quiet but it is still there and the groung that goes into the amp gets hot i dont know what to do the amp plays good but noise is always there please help oh an the power and rcas are run on different sides of the car too

Try a diffrent ground if that doesn't help try getting a noise isolator.
