I'm kind of new to the whole competition thing, but I definitely want to measure my SPL, SQ. I just recently installed 4 JBL 10" subwoofers in my G20 and man it hits REAL nice. So, where can I get some numbers?! You can see some pics over here:

I just want to change my sub amp to a JBL 1200.1 or 600.1. Anyone know anything about these amps?

goto a shop to get your spl done or you can enter a local car audio contest and they will run your car through an spl meter. if you've done things like dynamat or brownbread,etc , you'll get some good numbers .if all you did was slap all your equipment in, you'll be in for upset. good luck

I took a look at your system and I have some suggestions for you concerning your installation. ( please keep in mind this is just my opinion and please don't take anything personally posted_image )

Build a MDF rack on the back of the trunk so that when you open the back seat you will see the crossover, capacitor and distribution block you have on the trunk floor there. This will clean up the floor between your sub boxes and also this will be harder to access for theives if your car were to ever get broken into
Finish the sub boxes in the same color carpet as the interior of the trunk for a flowing installation. Using different materials and finishes in an installation is good but the painted box and the carpet do not flow together quite as well.
Install the amplifier on the other side of the rack with the connections facing down and out of sight. This will add to the installation because when you open the trunk and look between the two sub boxes you will see your amplifier right at the end , giving it the central focus of the installation in the trunk area. You can even put neon under the amplifier to give it a little for focus on the amplifier.
Try to hide all wiring as this is a eye sore when looking at a nice installation and all you see is wiring cluttering up the installation. I like that you tie strapped all your wires together in a neat bundle. It would be good if it were hidden under the floor for a flawless install.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and I'm not trying to tear your system apart but just giving you some honest criticism on your system. You have a car there and I figured that this would spice up your installation .

Hey, nice looking system. I have a quick question - you said you had a 12" in the MR2. Where did you put the sub and amp? I have a friend with the same car, and I was considering a fiberglassed enclosure either behind the passenger seat or in the passenger footwell.
