i went to lowes and found Bondo multi=purpose fiberglass resin.  Is this good?  I mean, i'm not sure how better others are, but curious.

Any certain brand you all recommend?

you might be better off going to a place that sells it in bulk. it is a bit cheaper and more fresh. if resin sits for a while. i think it is 90 days, it starts to go bad. you can't tell how long it has been sitting on the shelf at home depot or lowes. and you should get a laminating resin. it doesnt have wax in it.
finishing resin...like the bondo brand at lowes, has wax in it and you are supposed to sand between applications, if you let it cure between coats. when it cures the wax comes to the surface. i think it is for ease of sanding.

make sure you don't buy that green resin , it is junk  and takes forever to harden.
