Hey there my maglite led flashlight is very bright with a wide angle and i wouldlike to use them in my fog lights, my question is what resistor should i use to reduce them and what is there voltage, any info would be great

How many batteries are in the flashlight? Is it 3 D-cell batteries? They are 1.5v dc. so you will multiply 1.5 x 3. The total voltage will be 4.5v so you could use a voltage regulator to 5v+ dc from Radio Shack per side. The part is a 7805. They will cost you roughly $1.60 each. That is how I would hook them up. I also would buy a relay and switch. You will wire relay as follows.
pin 30 to 12v+
 pin 86 to ignition 12v+
 pin 85 to switch*
pin 87 to both voltage regulator inputs

 * the second side of switch to a solid ground
if a lighted switch then change pin 85 on relay to solid ground and pin 86 to switch output. Then ground switch and the input will be ignition 12v+.

With the voltage regulator flat on a table with legs facing down, the left most pin is input, middle is ground and right is output. Hope this helps you on your project.

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

Just insert a 1K resistor in series with the LED.
