Hi

I have been using this site for years now, but never posted till now... I was wondering something... I am putting some off road lights on top of my truck on a roll bar and was wondering if my calculations are pretty close... They are 130 watt KC Daylighter knock offs... They use 130 watt H3 bulbs... I am wanting to run 6 but I may have to run 4... My stock alternator is 110 amp so I was thinking I could run 4 at 130 watts at 40 amps or run 6 with 100 watt bulbs at 56 amps... I was thinking this would work as long as I use a yellow top Optima battery... I am not running any aftermarket electrical accessories at all... The most I do is power my cell phone charger or my laptop(extremely occasional)and maybe a small air compressor. Everything electrical is stock and I won't be getting a winch or system... It is a 2005 Nismo Frontier so there isn't a High Output Alternator made for it yet... I won't be using the lights all of the time... only when off road at night, which isn't super often but I still do... What do you recommend...

If I understand you correctly and your total current draw is only 56 amps, then you should have no problem.

https://www.visionxoffroad.com/ Check out the HID's.... off road ONLY! 35 watt bulbs, and 3 times the light output.
