i am hooking up subs and an amp to a 99 grand am' s stock stereo i have a converter to get the pre outs but am not sure what the remote wire is supposed to hook up to when the stock deck does not have a remote wire

any help would be apreciated

Use the YELLOW wire out of the 6 pin plug on the back of the deck to power your remote wire.
