I have a 1990 Ford Probe. as you know from the Subject. I read some ware that there is a data connector some ware in the car. now I know it's not a standard connector, so I would like know if any one knows how to wire it up so that I can connect it to my laptop's serial port so I can run performance test on my car. This can be done, I read that too.

ps. I'm not to sure ware the data port is.

hmm I dont think thats exacly what is is, maybe a dyno, stand-alone fuel management or something similar I dont think it can be done inexpensively.  Go to www.probetalk.com or www.performanceprobe.com I dont think its a simple interface to your serial port will tell you squat except maybe blowing some fuses or ruining you cars "computer".
