Hey All,

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 with the Infinity system. Only the dash speakers are working.....any pointers? The previous owner had a DVD system but it has been removed. I took the radio out and of course nothing jumped out at me as to a problem......Any help would be appreciated.

I have seen some DVD systems that intercept the rear speaker wires and play the DVD through the rear speakers. If they removed one of these systems, the rear speakers will not play. Can you locate the area in which the DVD was installed? If so, look around to see if you see some speaker wiring near there.

I have to say, you were all over this one.

I tore into in today and was just sitting in the sun baking......my patience must have been MIA. I love mechanical stuff, but get frustrated when it comes to wiring, especially when it could have been prevented.

After I read your post I went back out and started tracking the "extra" wiring they left behind. I found four sets of speaker wires and traced them to what appears to be a factory amp behind the glove box. Thats where they had unplugged the rear speakers from the amp and tied in with the DVD wiring. I removed all the extra wires and plugged her back in......hooray it works! I also removed the DVD unit from under the seat and another 50ft + of wiring they left behind.

Thanks for the help!
