I am curious as to the recommended amp to power an Alpine Type-R 10" woofer. (DVC) And how I should wire it for best results (series/parallel). Thanks.

Get an amp that has an RMS rating of 2 x 100 w at 4 ohms and about 1 x 600 w at 2 ohm bridged ( MRV-T757 or the MRV-T707 ). Wire the sub in paralle to get the most of the power from the amp.
