When installing componets, do you really get  better sound quality when you keep the tweeter and woofer within 6 inches?  What about keeping the two drivers on the same plane?  After talking to many install buddies it seems everyone has a different opinion.  Just thought maybe someone here would have another opinion with greater clarification.

You have to look at the vehicle and see what sounds the best for your vehicle, not what some else has in their vehicle. You may have to spend countless hours building different test pods and trying different angles, mounts, location and distances to get the best of what your vehicle will sound like. There are so many different possible variable that could make the component set sound good but at the same time there are equally ( if not more ) bad variables that will make them sound like a pair of $ 20.00 speakers.

What I would suggest is to take everything that you learned from your buddies and try them all out and record your information on a piece of paper for reference. After you have tried several different scenerios then start building a rough base from there.

  • Remember.......... there's no wrong opinions, just different opinions. posted_image
