Yesterday I installed a Bulldog keyless entry system into my Daughter's 1994 Camry. I believe I wired it correctly (I've been known to have been wrong before though) however, when the car is locked with the key and the door is shut, the unlock feature on the remote won't operate, the lock feature on the remote still works, but the unlock won't. If I lock the system with the remote it functions as normal.

I have the system wired up as specified in the manual as Type B - 3 wire negative door lock system. Does anyone know what else I might do so I can have full keyless entry whether or not the key is used to lock the door? Obviously I can just make sure she locks the car using the keyfob, but I'd like it to be functional either way. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply, after looking around a bit, I figured this might be the case. I just finished connecting the red/blue wire and now the keyless entry works as expected. Thanks for the reply.

I had the hardest time trying to figure out what might have been causing this behavior. I tried searching for keyless entry won't work after locking with key and just about everything like it. I didn't have a clue the car would have a child lock system that would cause that. I thought security system for sure. After searching for a while yesterday and still not finding what I thought might cause it, I decided to probe the other wires in the kick panel to see if they also actuated the locks. The Blue/red wire would if I grounded it, but the system wouldn't work properly with the keyless entry just triggering that one alone. It did behave correctly when I tied the unlock to the door unlock and the child protection circuit (just as you mentioned I needed to). I just sort of experimented and it worked. If I was more patient and had waited for your reply, I guess I could have saved a few minutes! Thanks again!
