I installed a Bulldog RS82B in my 2012 VW Eos.

The RS seems to not override the need to step on the brake pedal while starting.

When I try to start with the RS, the electrical comes on, but it does not start.

If I disconnect the brakelight switch, the RS works if I put my foot on the brake. Starts right up.

With the brakelight switch hooked up, it will not start. But if I start the car with my key, then turn on the RS, stepping on the brake will shut it off, as it is supposed to.

The RS82B has the anti-theft overide built in that uses a spare key.

Think you will need a relay to isolate and inject on the Brake wire.

The car must see the Brake signal to crank while the RS82B uses that same signal to shutdown.
A relay could be used to open the RS82B's Brake input wire during cranking and also inject a
+12V signal to the EOS to make it think the brake pedal is depressed during cranking.

I imagine that there is a TechTip on this somewhere...
