Here is a diagram to help you with the door locks. You may not have the resistance right on the unlock relay:

Hi archimed, on a 2001 Durango, you should have a 5 wire system if the vehicle was not equipped with a factory keyless entry. If it has a factory keyless entry, it will be a 3 wire positive system. Either way you do not need resistors to lock and unlock. The lock wire is ORANGE / Purple and the unlock wire is Pink/Purple.

On a 2002 Durango, it's a one wire (-) system, WHITE/ Green, 820 ohm to lock, 330 ohm to unlock.

posted_imageThanks for the posting. I am having same problem with my 2001 Durango. I cant locate the ORANGE / purple or the Pink /purple wires. Are they located at the central timer module? Or elsewhere?

Thanks Smitty
