hOW DO I KNOW WHICH WIRE IT'S FOR IT'S OWN FUNCTION

I MEAN HOW CAN I TEST EACH WIRE ON AN ALARM TO KNOW IT'S OWN FUNCTION WITH A MULTIMETER, SOME TIMES AN ALARM COME WITH EXTRA WIRES AND WONDERING  WHAT IS THAT FOR

LIKE MY FRIEND OWN'S A FORD BRONCO WITH AFTERMARKET ALARM

AND HE WANTS TO ADD A POWER LOCKS AND I WANT TO KNOW WHICH WIRE ARE FOR LOCK AND UNLOCK USING A MULTIMETER....

Does he have the install manual for the alarm?  It tells you in there.

It's a 1984

and doesn't have the install manual

Look for the alarm brain under the dash ( follow the wires to the control module ) and try to see what the model name and the model number is. After you do this post this information on this site and hopefully we will be able to help you with the right wire colors. Another thing is that some of the alarm companies are imprinting each wire color code on the back of the casing of the brain. Check to see if there is any information on the casing for wire color codes and what they do. and get back to us.

in the back of the case doesn't have any prints but the brand of the alarm is

Devastator        

model #dev 600   made in usa

has a 14 wire plug and one for led,sensor on the side

any way HOW CAN I WIRE AN AFTERMARKET ANTENA ?

DO I NEED A RELAY? I KNOW THE BLACK GOES TO GROUND AND THE RED TO POWER WHAT ABOUT THE EXTRA WIRE?

That one goes tot he remote antenna lead of the head unit. It will say in your manual which wire this is.

OK HERE GOES

 RED  12VOLT  CONSTANT (FUSED)

BLACK GROUND

AND THE OTHER ONE TO REMOTE ANTENNA LEAD

BUT I DO  NEED A RELAY?

No relay needed for the power antenna lead. The current on this wire is a normal 12 volts.
