i am in the process of switching from a corporate store to a indepently owned shop. problem being is the shop i might be moving to does not cover any damage to a vehicle caused by installers. though i am confident in my work stuff happens. now i have heard of independent garage insurance but i dont know where to begin to look for it. any clues?

you're most likely going to deal with garagekeeper coverage.
the url gives some good info

also want to add, check with a local agent for specifics because coverage can differ from state to state

hey im using state farm, with a 2 million dollars coverage, its about $1.900 a year, with a $500 deductible. let us know if u findanything cheaper, some dealers require a 1-2 million coverage just to be able to do work for them.
