I am installing a Viper 5901 remote start, on my 2008 Scion xB.
I need to wire a second starter relay. What kind of relay do I need and how do I wire it.
THANKS!

You need a SPDT relay rated at 30 amps. You can find them at most auto supply stores or Radio Shack. Wire it as follows: Terminal # 85 to the ground out when running of the remote starter, terminal # 86 to the starter output wire from the remote starter (this wire also goes to the 1st starter wire in the car), terminal # 30 to the fused side of the remote starters main power input wire and terminal # 70 to the vehicles 2nd starter wire. If you are using the ground out when running wire for anything else, you must diode isolate each branch of this circuit. Place a diode inline in each branch of the wire with the white band of the diode facing towards the remote starter. Failure to do this will likely create a draw on the battery among other problems.

Hey Sparky, thanks but I don't have a terminal #70, did you mean #87?
