i installed a push button starter using a relay for a starter kill from dei but am having problems with it. for some reason it sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't i followed the instructions from the net. it works fine on my buddy's car but doesn't with my 93 integra. am i using the wrong relay? are ignition kill relays spdt? if anyone can help w/ how to relay it that would help out tremendously. the set up i am using is as follows 87 to starter wire, 87a and 30 to ignition 2 , 85 to button, and 86 to ground. i thought that it was possibly a starter problem but i connected everything back up to stock and i had no problem starting it. thanks again guys and gals.
This is what I have done in the past with customer's vehicles with a push button starter ( S2000 type ):
- 85----> Constant 12 volts
- 86----> Push button Switch( - )
- 87 -----> Ignition # 1
- 30 -----> Starter side
Ground the switch to activate the relay when you push the button.

jeff, thanks...do i need to ground the relay at all or will just grounding the button work. i am using the stock s2000 button, not the aftermarket s2000 button. also you mentioned using 87 for ignition #1. is ignition #1 the one that shows power on acc. or should i use the one that shows power on the second turn of the key. many, many, thanks.
Pin # 86 is your momentary ground from the switch that will activate the circuit. The primary ignition is your accessory wire that tests 12 volts when the key is in the ON & START positions.
