I need help installing a new Eclipse AVN5435, I am not sure what information the head unit is looking for a speed pulse information. I cannot wire it to the pcm anywhere because of the multi-plex inputs from the abs module that the car calculate the speed. Same with the speedomter wires into the databus system so there isn't a single wire to hook up too.. Any ideas what information the eclipse headunit is wanting, i am wondering if i could use the abs sensor in the rear wheels for the input of speed..??? Any help would be appreciated thanks..

Yep we got it all worked out now. To get the GPS speed sensor wire hooked up we went through the ABS wheel sensor on the rear wheel. Right before it plugs into the abs module in the rearend, its kinda tricky to reach but got it done, we spliced into the wire right where it connects to the module. Its the BLACK wire you want to hook up to. Our first attempt we hooked up the brown one and no signal, Black returned signal to head unit and works perfect.. Hope that helps ya

I am looking at getting the avx2494 installed in my 2000 Ls and was wondering what did you use for the install of the face, and did you have to make your own mounting brackets.

Its a custom faceplate that we built. Just an idea of how we did this one there are other ways also, but we used a faceplate kit made for the lincoln ls and used a faceplate kit for a double din explorer. We cut everything out of the ls kit until it fit the double din for the explorer. then epoxied the two together sanded smooth and matched the paint to almost factory color. Lot of silver and green in the color. But it came pretty close. You can use the factory frame to bolt the double din head unit to, just may need to drill out some holes to match the headunits bolt locations..
