What is the eprom?  And how would it have blown?  Do you think it was of my doing or just a coincidence?  I charged the battery with a battery charger, would that have done it?

Eprom is a chip that holds your memory functions, considering the previous owner of Clifford was the inventor, it's not likely to be one you can buy at your local Radio Shack. NB Simply means Nota Bene or shorthand version of note well! Never mind I don't understand P.I.T.A. Unlikely to have damaged it with a battery change or charge unless you put the terminals round the wrong way.
