Hi everyone, I have a 2007 model Kicker L7 12" dual 4ohms in a 3.0 cu ft ported box tuned to 35hz. It is being powered by a Polk audio c500.1 sending 555 watts to the sub. Kicker lists the maximum power handling in this enclosure at 600 watts so I am not far off. My question is in regards to the settings on the amplifier when used with this sub and enclosure. What should my crossover point be? Is 50-60hz recommended? What about the slope, should it be 12DB or 24DB? Should bass boost be on and my amplifier lets me choose what frequency bass boost will punch up so what should I set that to? Thank you so much and hopefully someone can give me a clear detailed answer. Thanks

bass boost should be off or used VERY minimally if used.
As for the gain...I'd use a DMM and a test tone to set it.
Slope?? Whatever you want it to be to blend into your front stage

Ok thanks, what about the crossover point specifically with this setup. Hopefully I can get some more opinions.

crossover should be between 60-100Hz depending on your front stage
