I received an Avantguard 4 alarm today in the mail (my second one), and this one came with a C;ifford  "Duplex piezo sensor".  What is this and how is it used?  Is there any paperwork on it available?

How many wires are on the sensor and what color are they?

I would imagine that it has 2 peizo sensors in one case.  Reason behind this is to be able to set one as a warning indicator,  someone bumps the car lightly it (if your alarm is so equipped) gives a short burst of the siren letting them know Hey I have an alarm.  The second sensor is set to a slightly higher level (takes more of an impact to trigger this one) so if they hit the car harder this will set your alarm off.

howie's phone lines are messed up, which has caused his DSL to be fouled.... It lets him on line for about 2 to 3 minutes at a time.

He told me either Monday, or Wednesday for the local phone company to get to him. (He's PO'd)

There are plenty of cats missing his expertice here. He is an authority on clifford and Euro cars......

yea i havent howie online for a while.

i called up my friends shop and asked what i duplex piezo sensor is. he said it was simply a 2 level shock sensor. one can be used for waning and other to do FULL trigger alarm. the unique thing about that is, the duplex comes in 2 models. the first model has 2 levels for shock, and the other has a level for a Lo and High impact or shock. eg if its below - dont do anything, if the shock is high, trigger or warn.
