I was just wondering if a remote start made for a manual transmission could be used on an automatic transmission? The unit is a Scosche A1400 for manual transmission

a remote start that is manual will work on a auto transmission. The thing is, your manual unit might ask you to enter a reservation mode (ensures your car is not in gear). that is a time consuming process, but its sure safe. IF your are using an auomatic unit in a manual, its for sure NOT SAFE.

... ditto....

the reservation process usually involves depressing the foot brake while pulling up on the E-brake, then exiting the car while it's still running .. you can accomplish this all with two extra rocker switches on the dash...

The search function is your friend.

Or use aClifford Intellistart with a Clifford alarm, it's wireable and programmable both ways, I'm sure one could do the same with this Scosche unit.

Can you please explain to me how to set this up with the rocker switches you are talking about?
